About

It all starts with understanding.

Of businesses and of people. Code is the tool that turns this into a website.

Who’s behind it

Philip Gebhardt

Founder of Valoora, Hamburg

“The basis of a website that works is a real understanding of who is actually sitting in front of the screen.”

Philip founded Valoora and is your point of contact, from the first conversation until after launch. With him, every project starts with questions, not colours.

The name

Where the name Valoora comes from

Valor is Portuguese for value.

That became Valoora. And that’s what matters to us: your company should be worth as much online as it really is.

How we think

Three principles. For every project.

  1. Knowing, not guessing

We don’t want to guess what suits your company. We want to know.

That’s why every project starts with a real assessment: what you sell, who buys from you, what a conversation with you feels like and what people get from you in the end. Only then does a design take shape.

    What this means for you

    • We ask a lot of questions before we show you anything.
    • Every decision on your website has a reason, and you’ll know what it is.
  2. Honest, not convenient

We don’t sell anything you don’t need.

If an idea doesn’t make sense, we say so. And we tell you what a decision will do before you make it. Technically, almost anything is possible. The question is what makes sense for you and your customers.

    What this means for you

    • You get an honest assessment, even when it’s uncomfortable.
    • You don’t need any technical knowledge. We explain what matters.
  3. Coherent, not just pretty

Good design strengthens what you sell.

Your website should feel like a conversation with you and like what people buy from you. If a website is spectacularly animated but what’s on offer is simple, the two don’t fit together.

Our own website can show what’s possible, because we sell design. Yours shows who you are.

    What this means for you

    • Your website puts what you offer first, not itself.
    • Images, copy and design tell the same story.

Working together

One point of contact. Behind it, a network.

Valoora is deliberately small. You talk to Philip from the very first conversation. If a project needs more, such as photos, advertising or social media, we have specialists we know and trust.

For you, it stays one point of contact.

  • Photography
  • Advertising
  • Social media
You have one point of contact. Specialists are brought in depending on the project.

Get to know us. Ideally in conversation.

Tell us what your company stands for. We’ll listen and tell you honestly what we see.
